Three high school students saved the life of a man who collapsed on the street in Vaslui. "Thanks to you, a man is still alive"
A man in cardiac arrest was rescued by three high school students, SMURD volunteers, on January 9 in Vaslui.
Maria, Ianis and Ștefan were present when the man suddenly fell to the ground and immediately crossed over to provide first aid.

The children called the emergency number 112, and a mobile intensive care SMURD ambulance was dispatched to the scene.
SMURD volunteers initiated resuscitation maneuvers, later continued by the medical team. The man was stabilized and transported to the hospital.
"Maria Ignat, Ianis Bologa and Gherghe Ștefan are students in the 10th and 11th grades, respectively, and became SMURD volunteers in 2023. This was their first intervention, where they were extremely apprehensive, but the coordinator doctor on the SMURD ambulance declared that 'the volunteers acted by the book, significantly increasing the chances of the patient's survival through energetic and confident action until the arrival of the mobile intensive care team'", wrote the Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Vaslui on Facebook.
