A Romanian from Rădăuți is featured in the credits of the hit series "Shogun", one of the most spectacular and anticipated TV productions of recent times. Despite boasting an impressive array of accomplishments, the artist considers his most significant achievement to be his son.

Andrei Chifan, a native of Rădăuți, is the only Romanian featured in the credits of the hit series "Shogun"; he has created an animation displayed at the Super Bowl and "assisted" Christina Aguilera in breaking a chandelier with her voice. These are just a few of his projects as a technical director of digital imaging and visual effects, writes Obiectiv de Suceava.

However, his greatest achievement is his 2-year-old son, Victor, who Andrei Chifan confessed, enjoys learning anything, as he mentioned to the cited source.

Andrei Chifan, a graduate of the "Eudoxiu Hurmuzachi" National College in Rădăuți, has held various roles in post-production over the past 10 years, from Sound Engineer, 2D Animator or Digital Compositor to FX & Lighting TD. All these experiences have contributed to his understanding of how visual effects production departments operate.

From January to June 2023, he worked on the mini-series "Shogun", where he created 3D lighting for several sequences in episodes 3, 4, 6, 7 and 8. Then, from June to September, he worked on the series "Nautilus" (AMC), followed by a commercial for "Just Eat" in September-October, featuring Christina Aguilera.

His animation was showcased at the Super Bowl

Andrei Chifan handled the floral arrangements around the water and "assisted" the artist in breaking a chandelier with her voice. In November 2023, he went on to composite and render a series of frames for a children's animated film called "Elli", featuring ghosts and little monsters. Towards the end of the year, he contributed to two sci-fi films that will be officially announced soon.

In previous years, he worked on many other projects for brands, such as Amazon Prime, Western Digital, Tissot, Netflix or Sony. He started this year by working on an animation for MSG Sphere, displayed during the Super Bowl, having the honor of being among the first artists in the world to have access to the exterior screen of the Sphere in Las Vegas.
