He was discovered dead in the mountains of Colorado with his loyal dog which survived miraculously for two months in the wilderness.

Rich Moore and his Jack Russell Finney were hiking on 19 August to Blackhead Mountain, located in the San Juan Mountains of southwestern Colorado. The body of the missing man was discovered by a local hunter on 30 October. The road to the summit is "rough, rocky and steep, but the last section is unmaintained," reported The Mercury News.
Moore's faithful dog was transported to a local veterinary clinic and later returned to the man's family.
The cause of death of the man has not been released, but authorities reported no signs of violence, The Denzer Gazette reported.
It is amazing that the dog stayed so long with the body of its owner. This is another proof that a dog is the best friend of a person. Perhaps the current generation Z does not remember the story of the faithful dog Hachiko, but this story definitely bears similarities to the movie.
