An Anonymous Female Tells how She Went through Domestic Violence as a Teenager
Unfortunately, we live in time when violence, no matter physical or mental, is something normal. Yet, it shouldn't be like that! Victims of one or another type of violence always keep quiet because of fear. However, it should change. A very big portion of Gen Z have trouble sharing their problems - be it with friends or relatives, or even parents.
Some do it, and it is really liberating. All the stress, fear, and even pain can fade away when somebody listens to you. There are different ways to do it: if you are worried about talking to friends because they won't understand you or with parents because they would tell you off, you can share what bothers you on the Internet. There are many places where you can leave even an anonymous letter that may be read by others, you can get help or you can help someone in need. We will tell you about such a case now, namely an anonymous letter from a lady to her younger self.

In her story, she is 15 and she encounters something she didn’t know at the time was illegal. She begins a romantic relationship with an older boy who however has quite controlling and paranoid behaviour– he controls her all the time. The lady does not even suspect that she has been becoming a victim of mental abuse and something that is not normal is happening to her. Basically, because she has not discussed it with her friends or her parents. The situation worsens when he insists on having a baby even though she is 15. Later, the young man threatens her with a knife. Fortunately, he is arrested and even sentenced to six years in prison for a couple of different misdemeanors.
Since then, the anonymous lady says she has wanted to help young girls to deal with such traumas and toxic relationships, and to understand that these things are not normal or acceptable in any form.
