In May this year, Rangel Bizyurev, accused of the murder, spoke for the first time. He revealed shocking details about the fateful night.
"...I hit his torso twice on the right, he reached to hit me but couldn't. I inflicted two more blows on his left side in the torso. One punch to the stomach and one shove to the chest and then he hit a tree from behind. The punch in the stomach was the last one. He fell to the ground and said "Stop, you hit me really badly". Then I stopped, went back, got into Borislav's car. When I got into the car, I saw him standing up, but that's all. We drove off. Before we got to the main street , I told Borislav, "Stop the car". I got out and went back to the street. Mitko (Dimitar) was not more than 20 meters from the place he fell down. There was no sign of life. His eyes were wide open. I checked his pulse. More than once. Absolutely no signs of life. I went back to Borislav and told him that something was wrong and that Mitko might have died and might have been dead", said Bizyurev.
