Greta Thunberg removed from protest. She received a fine just hours before
Climate activist Greta Thunberg was forcefully removed from a protest by the police in Malmö, Sweden. A few hours earlier she was fined in a similar case.
Greta Thunberg and other activists from the Reclaim the Future group blocked the road for oil trucks at the port of Malmö on 19 June. The didn’t have a permit for a demonstration. The 20-year-old was removed from the roadway and heard charges for obstructing traffic and failing to leave the area on police orders.

Greta Thunberg was convicted for failing to comply with police orders
On 24 July the activist was sentenced by a court in Malmo and fined her 2500 Swedish kronor (PLN 960). After leaving the courtroom Thunberg talked to the reporters and admitted that she was disappointed with the verdict even though she had expected it. She also announced that it would not affect the forms her activism takes, even if they go beyond legal norms.

It became clear very quickly that the activist was not joking. A few hours after leaving court, she was again detained at a similar protest in the same city.
