Four men arrested after protesting at British PM’s constituency home
A surprising incident took place in the UK as activists from the group Youth Demand trespassed on the property of Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. The activists were seen heading towards a lake, where they seemed to be defecating.
Climate and environmental activists are taking increasingly bold steps to draw attention to the issue of pollution and global warming. In France, protesters have gone as far as defecating into the Seine to force the government to take action against the pollution of France's most important river. Activists from the group Just Stop Oil regularly use orange paint to spray monuments at various tourist sites. Their ultimate goal is to fight for a future without litter and global warming.

British activists entered Rishi Sunak's property
The Youth Demands activists entered the property of UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak in Kirkby Sigston, North Yorkshire, on 25 June 2024. Four men, wearing T-shirts emblazoned with 'Eat sh*t Rishi', proceeded to a lake on Sunak's property where they pretended to defecate in the water. The men were subsequently detained by local police.
One of the detained activists, 21-year-old student Oliver Clegg, voiced several opinions while standing in the water, addressing issues such as the Gaza genocide. The action was intended as a 'farewell gift' to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. However, the activists now face charges of aggravated trespass.
Police statement
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police commented on the matter, speaking to The Sun: "We have arrested four people on the grounds of the Prime Minister’s constituency home this afternoon. Our officers were with the four men within one minute of them entering the grounds. They were detained at around 12.40 pm before being escorted off the property and arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass. The men, aged 52 from London, 43 from Bolton, 21 from Manchester, and 20 from Chichester, remain in police custody for questioning, and enquiries are ongoing."
