In Bucharest, young people had a fun evening while searching for jobs. They attended a party through which several companies found a very friendly way to recruit future employees.

hese methods are being experimented with in Romania due to its leading position in the European Union regarding the high number of unemployed young individuals.

Over 500 jobs were offered at the Halloween-themed party organized in a club in Bucharest. Students could choose from jobs, such as promoters, sales consultants or content creators.

Young woman: "I received a few offers, and I'm waiting to make a decision, but it's a very interesting idea".

Young man: "I was actually looking for opportunities in the banking field, as it's a family tradition, and this evening really helped me".

Irina Scarlat, Project Manager: "We saw that they were very excited because they managed to submit their CVs to numerous companies that were with us".

And to make everything as simple as possible, the young people had access to a QR code that directed them to the website with the job offerings.

Ana Maria Mica, Employer Communication Director: "Around 50% of those who participated found a job. They usually opt for part-time jobs with flexible schedules to help them continue their education".

The event is part of a week dedicated to first-year students at the University of Bucharest.

Young woman: "There are so many students here, and the atmosphere is really cool".

Alin Bașa, Executive Director of ASUB: "In our generation, we have a lot of sponsorships, resources and lively, energetic students who can bring vibrancy to both the University of Bucharest and the entire country".

In Romania, according to Eurostat data, 20% of young people between the ages of 15 and 29 neither pursue education nor are employed.
