The canteen of the "Iuliu Hațieganu" University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca seems to have been unaffected by inflation.
Students can still buy menus for only 7 lei in 2024. This is called the "Student Menu", introduced last year, which varies from day to day, according to Știri de Cluj.

For example, on Tuesday, March 5th, this menu consisted of tomato soup with rice (3.5 lei) and chicken breast with curry sauce and basmati rice (10 lei). A discount is applied to the menu, bringing the price to a fixed total of 7 lei.
To benefit from this discount, customers must present their student ID when paying for their order.
Additionally, the UMF canteen also offers a menu for 5.5 lei. However, this is only available on certain days.
For example, on Monday, March 4th, the menu consisted of a serving of polenta with cheese, and for Friday, March 8th, it consisted of a serving of macaroni with cheese.
At the canteen of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Cluj-Napoca, there are also more expensive menus, priced at 17 or even 18 lei, with two main courses and salad.
