In 2021 - Ryan Hickman, who at that time was only 11, became an example for Gen Z, me and all the other people in the world. At a very early age, Ryan started Ryan's Recycling. For over two years, figures show it has recycled over 1.2 million bottles and cans (over 67 tonnes) in its bid to clean up the planet and keep our oceans and landfills free from pollution.

Ryan conducts and organizes weekly beach cleanups in his community and travels internationally speaking about recycling and saving our planet from plastic pollution.

He started a recycling program at his elementary school and volunteers to record educational videos for schools and inspire others around the world through his educational recycling events and his passion to make the world a cleaner place.

Ryan's story about recycling went viral in 2016 and since then more than 200 million people have watched his videos on social media. He is a proud supporter of the Pacific Marine Mammal Center in Laguna Beach, California, and donates revenues from his apparel to help rescue, rehabilitate and release sea lions and seals.

Ryan is a CNN Young Wonder Award winner and named one of the 100 Most Influential People in Orange County, California. He has been ranked as one of the best children of the decade.

Hickman is a youth ambassador and volunteers his time to be featured in promotional posts and videos to raise awareness about recycling.
