Energy drinks will be banned for minors. In which country does this law come into effect?
Spain is taking the lead over Romania by implementing a ban on the sale of energy drinks to minors.
The measure is currently limited to the region of Galicia and will take effect at the beginning of next year.

Starting from January 1, 2024, stores will no longer be allowed to sell energy drinks to customers under 18, similar to the regulations for alcohol and cigarettes.
Experts say that a single energy drink can be equivalent to three cups of coffee and may contain up to ten sugar cubes.
As a result, it can negatively impact children's healthy development.
Spanish healthcare professionals have raised concerns following a notable surge in the cases of diabetes and obesity among young individuals.
In the Romanian Parliament, two legislative initiatives have also been proposed to prohibit the sale of energy drinks and electronic cigarettes to minors.
