The great music festivals are starting in Bucharest and at the seaside, where hundreds of artists from Romania and abroad will attend, as well as over 100,000 fun-loving young people.

The police want to make sure that there will be no incidents, so a large number of forces have started their missions in the areas that get crowded first: The North Railway Station of the Capital or the train station near Henri Coandă Airport.

Accompanied by dogs trained to detect drugs, the police in Bucharest checked the cars that arrived at the electronic music festival in Băneasa. The dogs were also taken to the equipment area.

The checks and preventive actions continued in the North Railway Station in Bucharest, but also in trains or at Otopeni Airport. These are the first places where many young people will arrive when going to the festival. Tens of thousands of party goers will also arrive at the festival organized on the beach in Constanța.

The actions of the police are determined by the large number of people who are expected to come at both festivals. 120,000 people are expected to attend the three-day festival in the capital alone. That’s a daily average of 40,000 people.

"If you smell that someone is smoking, you have to leave!"

Chief Commissioner Ștefan Cristian Burtan, psychologist at the National Anti-drug Agency: "If you smell that someone is smoking, you have to leave! Because even if you do not smoke, you are passive smokers and when you are stopped in traffic by the police you will test positive. Another very important thing: do not take in the car, when driving, friends who you know have consumed or regularly consume! Sitting on the right seat, they can take the bag out of their pocket and throw it in the car behind them, and then who is going to be prosecuted? You, the drivers!".

The young people received information leaflets and talked to the police.

Young person: "It is the first festival, and we hope it’s going to be okay. To have fun and be safe".

Young person: "I’m waiting to see Nicki Minaj and I have pretty high expectations, since this is my first festival so far".

Reporter: Who do you want to see at the festival?

Young people: "Nicki Minaj and our Romanian trappers. Rava, the most well-known".

According to the latest data, one in ten 16-year-olds has taken at least one type of drug at least one time.
