What is "deepfake"? It is artificial intelligence that can create images or audio, can replace one person's face with another, or even can be used to make a fake recording of a person.

In a few words - deepfake is mostly used with vile intentions, or without realizing what harm it can cause. Naturally, famous people are mostly the target of such "attacks". This is exactly what the Indian actress Rashmika Mandana is talking about. Her fake video went viral on social media, and she described the experience as truly frightening. Fortunately, the incident was quickly condemned by her and the company representing her, but was it normal? In the said video, her face was put on someone else's and the footage was politically oriented, which was, of course, a sensitive topic. The bad thing is that deepfake can be used in many different ways that can be even more damaging, with such videos appearing even on adult platforms. Often the target of these attacks are precisely women, that is why Rashmika Mandana appealed to all ladies in the world to protect their rights and such a program should not be normalized or used.

However, can deepfake be stopped?

The truth is that this is becoming difficult, and only large organizations are working on technology that can distinguish and block such content, so that it would not go viral on social media by accident.
