Borderline personality disorder (BPD) is a type of personality disorder when a patient has periods of intense, unstable mood and behavior and a changing sense of self-perception. This can lead to impulsive actions and problems in relationships with family and friends, affecting the ability of the person to cope with everyday life.

The sufferer of this type of disorder is primarily afraid of being abandoned. There are emotional outbursts of instability, especially in response to criticism. Patients with GLR are often insecure about themselves, suddenly changing their goals in life and their opinions about their careers, values and friends.

They may have impulsive and often dangerous behavior, such as impulsive spending spree, reckless driving, and substance abuse. The causes of borderline personality disorder are unclear, but it is associated with genetic, neurological, social, and environmental factors. It is about five times more common in people who have an affected relative.

There are quite a lot of world-famous personalities who suffer from this type of disorder.

Movie icon Marilyn Monroe was one of them. Although she was one of the most iconic actresses of her time, Marilyn Monroe suffered from depression, low self-esteem, addiction and fear of abandonment.

British singer and songwriter Amy Winehouse also had similar problems, although at one point she cleverly managed to hide them after using alcohol and drugs.

Pete Davidson, actor and comedian, has spoken openly about his mental health issues. He admits that he has been insulted online on social media for months.

Princess Diana also had the beginnings of the disease. During her lifetime, she often spoke about depression, bulimia, suicide attempts and feelings of loneliness.
