Summer in October. Black sea water reaches temperatures unseen in the last 50 years
It seems like summer is making a return at the end of October, so if you still have some days off, it wouldn't hurt to head to the seaside.
The Black Sea has reached a temperature of 20 degrees, making it perfect for swimming. In fact, it hasn't been this warm in the last 50 years.

Experts say that this is aiding the development of flora and fauna.
The climate change on the Black Sea coast is considered a reference point by marine biologists.
Many species from the Mediterranean Sea will migrate in greater numbers to our waters and stay here for a longer time.
Adrian Bâlbă, marine biologist: "For 50 years, since the scientific recording of seawater temperatures began, we have not seen such high results for October. Fish populations are different. Now they are warm water fish that should have disappeared. There is a very large population of horse mackerel, bluefish, golden grey mullet, Mediterranean species that came during this period".
Sorin Mănăilă, President of ROMFISH Federation: "Fishing is good now, as the weather hasn't cooled down yet and the Black Sea has more fish. They are coming very close to the shore".
If in midsummer there were days when, to the despair of tourists, the water had only 15 degrees due to coastal currents, now the sea is getting its revenge and maintains temperatures at 20-21 degrees.
Mia Stamate, meteorologist: "We still benefit from an advance of tropical air mass with its characteristics, high temperatures, and we expect temperatures to gradually rise".
How much does a diving session in the Black Sea cost now?
Those seeking a unique experience can go diving because the weather allows it, and the water is unusually clear, with no waves. A two-hour session with equipment and an instructor costs 200 lei.
Cosmin Brânzeanu, diving instructor: "This year is a surprise; summer has been extended almost to the end of October. What's interesting is that the fauna has been revitalized; species that we haven't seen in many years have reappeared, like the brown meagre, the sea bass... It's a good thing".
And the news for the last weekend of October is as good as it gets.
The weekend will bring summer temperatures to the seaside. The mercury in thermometers will reach 30 degrees on October 28.
