Boys: "Electric is about love, family, friendship!".
And that’s how it was until after midnight.
Girl: "It’s day 0 of the festival. It’s incredible".
Girl: "I came armed with a fan, it’s quite hot, glad I brought it".
This year, 18,000 people will camp at Electric. Those bringing their own tents pay 69 euros, but the rate increases to 639 euros for those staying in more sophisticated tents with higher capacity. Caravans are also allowed, and there are Scandinavian-style cabins available. The area resembles a holiday village.
Boy: "We’ve been playing for 3 hours... since this morning actually. We have sprinklers, hoses. The atmosphere is great".
Because daytime temperatures are sweltering, there are long lines for showers.
Boy: "It’s excellent. Very cool and very refreshing".
Girl: "I don’t think the refreshing effect will last long".
Organizers have provided water for participants.
Foreigner: "It’s free water. You can refill it anytime".
