Denmark is set to become the first country in the world to tax cow emissions.

The government has reached an agreement with the three main political parties in Copenhagen, and one of the measures includes imposing a carbon dioxide tax on cattle.

The tax will come into effect in 2030 and will initially be approximately $37 per cow. However, it will increase to over $100 per year by 2035.

The Danish government hopes to eliminate up to 2.6 million tons of carbon dioxide emissions per year through this measure.

As expected, Danish farmers have mixed opinions: some believe it is a good measure that will yield results, while others think it is a crazy experiment.
