The Boy Who Amazes Us with His Sense of Humour and Social Responsibility: Bretman Rock
25-year-old Filipino Bretman Rock, who lives in Hawaii, is a real social media star – he has 8.83 million subscribers on YouTube, 18.9 million followers on Instagram and 500 million likes on TikTok. He is a Gen Z favorite mostly because of his sense of humor and makeup artist skills. He is also one of the faces of LGBTQ+ and in 2021 he made history as the first gay man on the cover of Playboy.
"The fact that a man appeared on the cover of Playboy is big news for the LGBT community and for all people with darker skin - it's really unreal," said Bretman, who back in 2017 was included among the 30 Time magazine's most influential teenagers.

Amazingly, Bretman is the face of the Nike Pride campaign and has worked with many top designers, such as Michael Kors and Stella McCartney.
Bretman appeals to Gen Z because he does his best to discuss issues like LGBTQ+, racism, environment and many more. That is why his audience is large and diverse.
In 2021, Bretman teamed up with Crocs (aka the popular shoes around the world called Crocs) and created his Jibbitz line inspired by his love of turtles, crystals and pearls. They attracted huge interest but quantities were limited and a raffle picked out the lucky ones who got them.
Bretman is passionate about fitness and travel and as a child he practiced many sports - football, baseball, volleyball and cross country. However, he stuns with the huge number of pets: five dogs, four cats, two guinea pigs, three turtles, several chickens and a rooster.
His book "You’re That Bitch" will soon be released - it introduces the world of Bretman Rock. With his typical honesty, he talks about his childhood in the Philippines, his family, his Filipino culture and what helped him become a social media sensation at the age of 14.
