Younger generations are no longer embracing nudism, complain the more "seasoned" German proponents of this lifestyle.
The number of nudist clubs active on the numerous designated beaches has halved in recent years, from 65,000 to just 34,000.

Germans consider themselves the champions of global nudism, but currently, most practitioners are over 60 and fear they have no one to pass the baton to.
"Young people just talk about freedom but don’t know how to be free", some comment. Others believe that increasing numbers of people have complexes due to the perfect bodies showcased on social media.
