Gigi and Bella Hadid raise $1 million for Palestine
The conflict in the Gaza Strip has been ongoing for several months. Social observers warn that one Palestinian child is being killed every 10 minutes in Gaza. Models of Palestinian origin, Gigi and Bella Hadid, have decided to take action to help. They donated a total of one million dollars to support Palestine.
Tensions between Palestine and Israel have been ongoing for years. The situation worsened at the end of October 2023 during the Supernova festival, when Hamas attacked people attending it. In response, Israel retaliated with full force, leading to a significant escalation of the conflict. Currently, one child dies every 10 minutes in the Gaza Strip - some due to bomb attacks and others due to starvation. Israel is blocking humanitarian aid shipments, causing food to rot at Gaza's borders.

Gigi and Bella Hadid support Palestine
Gigi and Bella Hadid, world-famous models, are the daughters of Mohamed Anwar Hadid, a real estate magnate and a Palestinian. They have been strong supporters of Palestine for years. Despite being known for their appearances on the covers of top fashion magazines and at prestigious fashion shows, the sisters have decided to come together to offer assistance to the Palestinians.
To aid families and children affected by the war in Gaza, Gigi and Bella Hadid have generously donated one million dollars to four humanitarian organisations. These organisations are Heal Palestine, the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, World Central Kitchen, and the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, each receiving $250,000.
Bella Hadid defends Palestine
In May 2024, Bella Hadid wrote on Instagram: "A Palestinian girl on the cover of Vogue. The joy it brings me to say thatā¦.I wonāt stop talking about the systematic oppression, pain and humility that Palestinians face on a regular basis. With only love in my heart and an open mind to educate myself and learn more every dayā¦. No matter what. I Love You."
Bella's younger sister, Gigi Hadid, has also publicly advocated for Palestine on several occasions. At the same time, she has expressed sympathy for all those affected by the war in Gaza.
