Campaign against drug use conducted through a play written and performed by students
Unique initiative in Târgu Jiu against drug use among youth.
Students from the art high school in the city created a play to show the effects of illegal substances and how they can affect their lives.

The play, "Maybe Tomorrow I'll Be... Myself Again", inspired by real experiences, depicts young people who use drugs thinking they are having fun. Before it’s too late, they realize they are making a mistake. Then, they recover with the help of their loved ones.
The students transformed the hall of the art high school in Târgu Jiu into a performance hall. The members of the troupe aim to raise awareness about drug use.
Pompiliu Ciochia, actor and the students' teacher: "I hope we can correct this through non-formal education to better reach young people and say NO to drugs because it is possible to live without them".
The audience watched their peers' play with curiosity.
Student: "I thought it was really cool, so wow, this theme really should be...I have no words, it totally amazed me".
Student: "Addiction should never happen, just like with alcohol, it's the same problem".
Among those present were teachers and police officers involved in the fight against drugs.
Sub-commissioner Ionela Duduială, head of the School Safety Office at IPJ Gorj: "We urge all young people not to be lured by the allure of drug use because they will suffer, as will their families".
The young actors will present the show in various public places in Târgu Jiu. Starting in the fall, it will be performed in other schools in the city.
