High speed, fast cars. Undoubtedly, these are the first things that come to mind when we hear about Formula 1, so beloved by the so-called generation Z. And not only them... A piece of news, however, from just a few months ago, already connected Bulgaria to one of the most exciting sports.

Zoya Ivanova, 26, from Burgas, works in the invisible world of Formula 1. It is the place where successes or failures we see on the track are forged. This is the secret world of the factories of the teams, the first Lewis Hamilton addresses in each of his interviews on the stage. Because it is where the car is built.

Bulgaria’s Pride: Who is the Girl who Got into Formula 1

Zoya Ivanova is a young person who has decided that mathematics is the code of her life. She has been watching Formula 1 with her father since she was little. However, her true passion is aerodynamics and mathematics. This attraction of hers was born with the first episode of "Air Crash Investigation".

She graduated from the High School of Mathematics in Burgas, but the lack of an Aerodynamics major in domsetic universities made her cast her eyes to Great Britain. She applied to several universities there (five in total) and was accepted to all of them. However, Zoya chooses the one in Southampton, since only there she has a major in Aeronautics and Astronautics. She completed her bachelor degree with honors.

Zoya is another proof that Bulgaria has and will continue to have many reliable, smart young people who can make us proud. And perhaps the claims that Gen Z crave for quick and easy money from social media and the influencer profession will be debunked.
