Fantastic Performance: Teya Nikolova Was Ranked the Fifth in Europe on 50-meter Breaststroke
Bulgarian athlete Teya Nikolova finished fifth in the 50m breaststroke final at the European Swimming Championship in Belgrade.
She also improved the national record in the discipline.

The 19-year-old girl from Varna finished in 31.17 seconds; at the semifinals she achieved a result of 30.91 seconds and she set a new record for Bulgaria among women and came third in the overall ranking. She is the competitor of PSC Black Sea.
According to Teya's personal trainer - Nikola Petrov, the fifth place at the European swimming competition is a great success. And behind it was a lot of work since she was not a student at the sports school. She trained overtime - before school, after school again, in line with a specific schedule.
"We are already in the elite of Europe", the coach did not hide his joy.
According to him, the 50m breaststroke is one of the most difficult things in swimming and it is all about making minimal mistakes. "If you do something wrong, the whole swim goes differently", said the coach.
Young people, Gen Z, demonstrate determination in line with their values and views. They feel the need to believe that they are working for a worthwhile cause and thus achieve their goals.
Teya Nikolova graduated with honors from the Fifth Language School this year and has been accepted to study in the USA.
