Doing exercise at home or in other words "home fitness" is one of the best and easiest ways to improve the condition and stamina of any person. It is well known that there is a positive link between physical activity and mental health.

Doing exercise regularly has many benefits and reducing symptoms of depression is one of them. Medication, good sleep and peace of mind are certainly another prevention of depression, but in the last decade or two – the decades of Gen Z, one "cure" against bad thoughts turns out to be sport in almost all its forms.

Physical activity can lift the mood and boost energy levels, even more than you might think. Doing exercise distracts the mind and also promotes social interaction. The latter, more specific details, means that even if you only do exercise at home, you will have a greater incentive to socialize and create new relationships.

The connection between doing exercise regularly and the reduction of symptoms of depression and other similar conditions has been explored for years and has been the subject of thousands of studies.

One from 2020 found that people who were more dissatisfied with their body and muscle shape were almost twice as likely experience depression. Authors of such research have found that while people perform a certain type of physical activity, they are much less apt to have negative thoughts.

Doing exercise more frequently certainly alleviates the mind from the worries we are bombarded with every day. And this, in its turn, allows us to shake off the negative cycle of anxiety and depression. "Home fitness" isn't easy, but it's a great instrument to enhance self-confidence and emotional state.
