Signals that You Are Living on Autopilot
Do you often feel bored or even lifeless? You feel like you are just existing instead of doing your best and enjoying life. It means you live on autopilot. You have let the things run and whatever shall be, shall be. However, when you act this way, you are very likely to lose control.
Many people live this way, including Gen Z, without realizing it, so don't think you are the only one.
Here are a few signs that you are living on autopilot:
1. If you wake up dreading the work day and feeling unsatisfied, then this is a clear sign that you are working on autopilot.
2. You just do things on impulse without thinking about what will happen. So far, so good.
3. You know how you are going to spend each day. You already know where you will go, what you will do, who you will see and what you will eat.
4. If you find yourself idly scrolling through social media, it could be a sign that you are living on autopilot. This can happen for hours, even if you have just checked it.
5. You stay deep in your thoughts. You are basically mentally checked out and you are thinking about things that aren't happening right now.
6. You easily get angry by small delays or minor inconveniences. This is a possible sign that you are trapped in a routine and experience deep frustration when things do not go smoothly.
7. You often agree to things you don't want to do, then dread the decision. Whether it is going to a party or taking on more tasks at work, you are shy to say no.
8. If you are on autopilot, you may not remember doing activities like driving, eating, or having a conversation that you should have remembered.
9. You keep working through lunch, dinner, and free time. When you work too much, you can feel tired and disengaged at the same time. Your brain is so focused on work that it is the only thing you do.
10. You know you are wasting time - either procrastinating or spending hours on social media.
11. Days, weeks, and months seem to fly by and you have not made any significant progress toward your goals.
