Pope Francis had lunch with a group of transgender women. Many of these are sex workers
Pope Francis hosted a group of transgender women, many of whom are sex workers that migrated from South America, during a lunch organized by the Catholic Church for the "World Day of the Poor", November 19.
Pope Francis and the transgender women have developed a close relationship after the pontiff came to their aid during the Covid-19 pandemic when they couldn't work. Now, they meet with Pope Francis monthly and receive medicine, money and shampoo, as reported by Fox News.
