Calendar-wise, it's the last weekend of winter, but if we look around, it seems that spring has taken its rights for a long time. A Mediterranean air mass is responsible for this beautiful weather. In Bucharest, the temperature is 21 degrees Celsius, but the sun makes it feel even warmer.

While we appreciate the early spring, meteorologists warn that it's detrimental to the planet. Each passing month brings rising temperatures, breaking new records.
Elena Mateescu, the general director of National Meteorological Administration (ANM): "Potentially the warmest February in the history of meteorological measurements, as at present, we are already observing a positive temperature anomaly of 6.2 degrees Celsius. This surpasses, we might say, the record set in February 2016, with a temperature anomaly of 5.7 degrees Celsius".
And the previous month was declared the warmest month of January ever recorded since the commencement of measurements.
