In memory of journalist MilenTsvetkov, a fountain was inaugurated in Sofia, near the place where he died three years ago.

The idea for its construction was the outcome of the efforts of MilenTsvetkov’s colleagues and family. The funds for the fountain were collected from donors. The amount needed to build the memorial fountain was raised by volunteers in 48 hours.

The remaining funds will be donated to MilenTsvetkov's children.

MilenTsvetkov changed Bulgarian journalism and raised the level a lot for future generations. He taught us so many things and he will forever live on in our memories. May his soul rest in peace!

- wrote Konstantin Pavlov, mayor of Lozenets region.

According to ManolPeykov, who helped to raise the necessary funds in a few days, the fountain is better, more functional and with more love for people than a simple memorial plaque or bust.

Although each generation has the habit of pointing the "right way" to the next one, i.e. to young people, Generation Z has a strong sense of justice and can change the world and make it better than it is today. Young people showed this by joining the processions organized against killers on the road.

MilenTsvetkov died on 19 April 2020, on CherniVrah Blvd. in Sofia, after his car was hit at high speed while he was waiting at a red light. Christian Nikolov, who was driving under the influence of drugs, was guilty for the accident. He was found guilty of crime due to gross negligence and sentenced to 9 years in prison.

"You used to search for the truth all the time. You never had enough answers and never put up with a lie. You pointed out the sores of society and wanted so much of us to live more morally and more consciously. We all used to wait for your shows because we knew that somewhere in the right questions and between the words and the looks, we would find our answers. You left us 3 years ago, yet you are here! The uncompromising, smart and can-do boy on TV who will never know how much we miss him. We miss you, Milen!" - wrote VladinaTsekova on her Facebook profile.

May MilenTsvetkov's soul rest in peace!
