A photographer captured a touching shot of a boy rescuing his dog from the water that claimed the lives of four people in Tsarevo. "One picture, few words..." reads the description of the image that Ivan Yanev published on his Facebook profile.

At the background of the catastrophic disaster along the Southern Black Sea coast, this photo not only touched the hearts of all of Bulgaria, but also showed how we should value our pets and be faithful to them.

Pets are more than just animals, they are part of our hearts and families. But do we really value and care for them with the same passion they love us?

Every member of Gen Z has faced envy and judgment from their friends, but pets are our faithful companions in life appealing to us with their endless devotion and unconditional love. To them, we are their whole world; this fact should make us appreciate them more.

Because of that we need to take care of them correctly. This includes regular vet visits, proper food, physical activity, and most of all, love. We should not forget that they also have needs and feelings and deserve our attention.

Abandoning your pet in a difficult time like the flood in Tsarevo to rush to save yourself is treason. The welfare of our little friends depends on us; if they are abandoned, they inevitably suffer greatly. Such behavior would be irresponsible and cruel.

We should cherish our pets, take care of them with love and attention and be their devoted friends at all times. In return, they will reward us with priceless moments of joy and love that only they can provide. This picture reminded us to be good owners and loyal friends to our pets because they deserve the best from us.
