Small-town Gen Z representatives highlight the advantages of being at short distance to lots of places, and one of the big advantages is the peace and quiet compared to big cities, such as less congestion and traffic. However, knowing most of the people from a small town is ambivalently interpreted as both an advantage and a disadvantage.
Another major disadvantage is the fewer career opportunities, as well as the lack of ambition among young people for entrepreneurship.
A big-city Gen Z representative underlines the advantages that somewhat mirror those from the small city - job opportunities, more entertainment, hobbies and cultural life.
The other advantage is greater anonymity – and open-mindedness to the different.
From an infrastructural point of view, urban transport is more developed, there are a variety of shops and commercial outlets.
A major disadvantage, however, is the large traffic jams, pollution and the lack of sufficient green areas. Young people would like to see less over-constructed and more green areas in big cities.
