Special website with facts about Shein
Activists gathered outside the Shein boutique handed out gift cards with a QR code that takes you to a special website collecting facts about the brand. When you click on the link, it reveals information about forced labour, child labour, low wages and environmental pollution from clothes that are thrown away en masse.
Clothes and accessories from Shein are a real problem. Poor quality seasonal items quickly end up in the trash due their fragility or them becoming "out of fashion" quickly. Their allure is usually a low price and fashionable design. Clothes produced by Shein can be found even in second-hand shops or on websites allowing the sale of unwanted items. Huge number of cheap, plastic clothes and accessories is flooding the world.
