How to Become a Businessman at 13? This Amazing Boy will Inspire You
This story can definitely inspire Gen Z. Hart Main was 13 when he founded ManCan, a candle company that produces men's fragrances. The idea came to him while he was making fun of his sister for her girly scented candles that she was selling.
Hart, who was saving money to buy a bicycle, started a private business. He and his parents invested a little money in making man-scented candles in soup cans, came up with the name ManCan and started selling.
The candles are now handcrafted by the Beaver Creek Candle Company in Lisbon, Ohio by workforce with developmental disabilities.
Since 2016, the candles have ben sold across America as the sales exceed six figures annually. Further, a portion of each sale is donated to soup kitchens in Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Michigan.
Hart quickly gained popularity and was invited on the Steve Harvey Show to talk about his entrepreneurship.
When he told him where he went to school and that he was a freshman, Harvey said: "You know who you are talking to? You are talking to the most famous dude to ever drop out of this school!"
Hart, on the other hand, shared that he started the business for purely selfish reasons, but he keeps it going because of the people with developmental disabilities and the soup kitchens he supports.
An inspirational story, isn't it?
