Generation Z vs Generation Alpha. Which Are You?
The Gen Z people were born between 1997-2012. This generation grew up on the Internet and social networks. Generation Z is the youngest, most ethnically diverse, and largest generation in American history, making up 27% of the US population. What is Generation Alpha?
Gen Alpha, which includes children born after 2010, has already set to be the most transformative generation so far. Alphas did not just grow up with technology – they were completely immersed in it since they were born. These young boys and girls cannot imagine life without the Internet.
These children feel at home when they surf the Internet, talk to voice assistants, hold and fully use smartphones. They do not see technology as tools used to accomplish tasks, but rather as deeply integrated parts of everyday life.
The childhood of this generation is quite different. They hardly know playing with friends on the street and playgrounds. Addicted to screens and definitely far less physically active than any previous generation. It is for this reason that there are far more overweight children worldwide today than before.
"Alphas" are the generation which is the most cared for. Many children in developed countries are under constant supervision and their ability to be independent is many times more limited than in previous generations.
