Five foods that will help you look younger. What do experts say
With age, wrinkles become more prominent, and our skin gradually loses its elasticity. However, specialists recommend several foods that will help you look younger, according to Mirror.
Oysters
According to nutritionist Kate Booker, foods rich in zinc are "amazing for skin renewal". It can be found mainly in animal-based foods, such as fish and poultry. One of the best sources is oysters.

"Calf liver, sesame seeds, oysters, red meat and seafood are the best sources. These antioxidant-rich foods help heal the skin and maintain healthy skin", the nutritionist noted.
Sweet potatoes
Sweet potatoes are rich in vitamin A, also known as retinol, which is "very good for cell generation and skin health. Foods like carrots, zucchinis, mangoes, spinach and sweet potatoes are plant sources of vitamin A or carotenoids", Kate explained.
"Up to 45% of the population faces difficulties in converting carotenoid-rich plant sources into a usable form of vitamin A in the body. Therefore, it can be beneficial to incorporate animal-based sources of vitamin A into your diet, such as butter, egg yolks, liver, shellfish, mackerel and salmon", she added.
Fatty fish
Fish is an excellent source of proteins and vitamins, especially vitamin E, which is essential for "preventing skin damage". While olive oil is also rich in vitamin E, another good source is fatty fish, such as salmon and mackerel.
"Vitamin E-rich foods are also rich in antioxidants that prevent cell damage. Olive oil can protect against skin aging as it is anti-inflammatory and contains antioxidants. Always choose 100% olive oil, ideally cold-pressed and in a glass bottle", explained the nutritionist.
Berries
Vitamin C is found in a wide variety of fruits and vegetables and has many benefits, such as strengthening the immune system - but it also helps you achieve "radiant skin".
"Vitamin C is essential for supporting your immune system, promoting radiant skin and accelerating the healing process of blemishes. It is also necessary for making collagen. I like to include foods rich in vitamin C, such as tomatoes, peppers, berries and citrus fruits. Tomatoes are also rich in lycopene, which is a powerful antioxidant that reduces skin damage caused by UV exposure", Kate added.
Bone broth
Collagen is responsible for skin elasticity and is a nutritional supplement. One type of food rich in "unprocessed collagen" is bone broth, but Kate recommends taking it as a supplement.
