A young man was caught traveling at nearly 80 km/h on an electric scooter, faster than cars
Norwegian police announced on April 15th that they stopped a user of an electric scooter traveling at a presumed speed of nearly 80 km/h on a bicycle path, AFP reports.
Observed at Gjellerasen, northeast of Oslo, the vehicle "was traveling at a speed higher than the cars on the main road, where the speed limit is 80 km/h", the Norwegian regional police specified on the X social network.

According to Norwegian regulations, the speed of electric scooters must be limited to a maximum of 20 km/h.
The user, a 20-year-old young man, will be criminally prosecuted for this offense, as well as for acts of outrage against the police, the latter specified, adding that the scooter was immediately confiscated on the spot.
