5 Things to do before drinking coffee. Your days will be better if you do this
Drinking coffee on an empty stomach in the morning is harmful, say nutritionists. According to specialists, we should establish a routine to follow before having our first cup of coffee.
Gabi, a nutritionist from The Fast 800, claims that delaying the first coffee dose can increase energy levels and lead to an overall improvement in health.

She argues that consuming coffee on an empty stomach can put the body in a state of intense stress, releasing hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, which can cause an excessive reaction.
There are five steps to combat this
1. Hydration
First and foremost, Gabi advised people to drink plenty of water before having a cup of coffee. Ideally, the water should be at room temperature, and adding a squeeze of lemon can aid digestion.
2. Nutrients
The second piece of advice is to start the day with a meal rich in fiber and protein to balance blood sugar levels. "Elevated blood sugar can trigger inflammation and lead us into a spiral of fluctuating blood sugar levels throughout the day, depleting our energy reserves", Gabi stated. She suggested consuming chia pudding or a generous serving of vegetables and fruits for breakfast.
3. Physical Exercise
Despite the risks, some people have coffee before hitting the gym, as it can make the workout seem easier. However, experts argue that this can trigger anxiety and cause tremors during the workout. The nutritionist recommends engaging in light physical activity before drinking coffee.
4. Patience
Delaying coffee consumption by at least 90 minutes leads to high energy levels throughout the day, Gabi said. However, she acknowledges how difficult it is to resist the temptation in the early hours of the morning.
5. Natural Light
"Exposure to natural light in the early hours after waking up is an excellent way to support optimal hormonal balance", Gabi said. "Morning light significantly regulates the circadian rhythm and stimulates the healthy release of cortisol in the morning to support the body's natural rhythm".
