On Sunday, May 26, activist Maciej Rauhut announced that he had won his court battle with Fr. Tadeusz Rydzyk for the second time. The teenager seems satisfied with his victory.

Maciek Rauhut, an 18-year-old activist, is known for his advocacy work in fighting for the right to access public information, women's rights, and the rights of sexual minorities. He gained fame in 2020 when, at the age of 14, the police entered his house due to his actions related to the Women's Strike. Maciek shared information on social media about a ‘spontaneous walkout’ by Krapkowice residents who opposed the Constitutional Court's ruling on abortion.

In 2022, Maciek Rauhut was again in the spotlight when he won a court case against the Lux Veritatis Foundation, associated with controversial priest Fr. Tadeusz Rydzyk. The case was related to the withholding of information about the foundation's funding from taxpayers' money. Maciek expressed his pride and satisfaction on Instagram, stating that no one can feel impunity in Poland. Tadeusz Rydzyk appealed the verdict to the Supreme Administrative Court.

During the eight years of the United Right's rule, it was widely known that Father Tadeusz Rydzyk received substantial sums of money for his foundation, radio, and television. He frequently hosted representatives of Law and Justice or Sovereign Poland and expressed gratitude to politicians from the United Right during masses.

Maciek Rauhut sought information on the payments to Tadeusz Rydzyk's foundation and the entities supporting him and his employees from 2016 to 2022. Despite his obligation to do so, Tadeusz Rydzyk did not provide the requested data. As a result, Rauhut took legal action and won, but the clergyman appealed the verdict.

"When we won the case against Rydzyk in the Provincial Administrative Court, I was only sixteen. At that time, we were all living in a country where defeating one of the most steadfast supporters of the ruling party seemed almost impossible. Two years went by, and the case was still pending. Then, finally, the Supreme Administrative Court ruled in our favour," Maciek Rauhut shared on Instagram.
