White Sands, New Mexico, USA
White Sands National Park in New Mexico is the first place that has cuaght our attention. The landscape suggests it was on the moon, but it is actually here, on the Earth. The park covers an area of 230 square miles and it is the largest park composed of gypsum dunefields in the world.
Dinosaur Park, Alberta, Canada
The place is a UNESCO world and cultural heritage site. Here you can find the largest deposits of dinosaur fossils. The park was founded in 1955 and its purpose is to protect the places where remains of prehistoric reptiles have been found.
Lake Hillier, Australia
There are many lakes around the world, but Hillier really stands out. It amazes with a non-standard colour. The lake is pink which is said to be due to a specific type of microalgae or bacteria. Viewed from above, the lake contrasts sharply with the bright green eucalyptus trees around it.
Chocolate Hills, Philippines
The Chocolate Hills of Bohol Island, Philippines look like they are man-made, but they are not. Their name comes from the fact that during the dry season, the grass that covers them dries up and they acquire their "chocolate" colour. During the tropical rains, however, the landscape changes and they turn bright green.
Spotted Lake, Canada
Spotted Lake in Canada is a unique natural phenomenon. We can hardly imagine that it is not a film set, but simply a miracle of nature. The surface of the lake is covered with huge coloured spots, hence its name. They are composed of minerals such as calcium and sodium sulfate.
Fly Geyser, Nevada, USA
It is worth mentioning that the Fly Geyser is not entirely a creation of nature. It is located on a private property and it was created as a result of drilling during geothermal energy and water study. In the end, the researchers found water, which, however, had a temperature of 200 degrees. The peculiar shape of the geyser is due to the accumulation of potassium carbonate.
Avenue of the Baobabs, Madagascar
You have probably never heard of Avenue of the Baobabs. The landscape really looks like part of the set of an alien movie or a place that is not part of our planet. However, it can be seen on the island of Madagascar. The mythical trees are about 30 meters high and some of them are nearly 800 years old.

The Valley of the Moon is located in the Atacama Desert in Chile. This is one of the best places in the world for stargazing.
