On World Mental Health Day, Julia Żugaj reached out to her followers with an important message. Speaking on her Instagram broadcast channel, the influencer emphasised that seeking help should never be a source of shame. Żugaj encouraged her fans to remember there is always a way out of challenging circumstances.

Julia Żugaj is currently one of Poland's most recognisable influencers. She rose to prominence in late 2020 when she and several other online celebrities joined Team X, a project created by Stuart B., also known as Stuu. In the group, Żugaj was responsible for producing daily content aimed at a young audience. Following the project's conclusion, the influencers went their separate ways, but Żugaj successfully leveraged her experience with Team X to establish herself as a highly influential figure on social media.

On 10 October, World Mental Health Day, many public figures, including Żugaj, reminded their followers of the importance of not feeling ashamed when experiencing a crisis. Mental health issues in Poland, particularly among young people, remain a significant concern. According to Polish Police statistics, as reported by zdrowie.pap.pl, there were 145 suicides among children and young people in 2023. Seven of these tragic cases involved individuals between the ages of 7 and 12, while 138 were among those aged 13 to 18.

Julia Żugaj cares about the mental health of her followers

On Thursday, 10 October, Julia Żugaj shared a heartfelt message with her fans via her Instagram broadcast channel to recognise World Mental Health Day. The influencer took the opportunity to remind her followers of the importance of never feeling ashamed to ask for help, emphasising that true strength lies in seeking support, not in facing struggles alone. Żugaj’s message holds particular significance given that her audience consists mainly of young people.

"Today is World Mental Health Day, so it's the perfect moment to remind you how important it is to take care of yourself—not just physically, but mentally as well. Sometimes, in the daily grind, we forget that our thoughts and emotions also need attention, care, and understanding. If you feel like something isn’t right, remember that it’s completely okay. We all have bad days, and asking for help is a sign of strength, not weakness," Żugaj wrote.

The influencer urged her followers to speak openly with loved ones and friends about their emotions, problems, and thoughts, stressing the importance of not feeling ashamed. She pointed out that everyone experiences difficult times and that isolating oneself is never the answer.

If you need to talk to someone, a helpline for children and young people is available at 116111. It operates 24/7, providing support to those in need. Remember, no matter how difficult a situation may seem, there is always a way out.
