Remember the money from the first communion? At least one child could decide what to do with it
The meme about money children get from their guests and family during the first communion, like a boomerang, returns every year. This time, however, we have a story with a real hero as protagonist, and not parents that usually make the money disappear.
Once upon a time the first communion guests offered bikes and watches, not so long ago quad bikes, and now smartphones and electric scooters as presents for children receiving the sacrament. Trends in such gifts are changing fast, but there is one that can't possibly go wrong. The money.

The form of its delivery has modernised however. Formerly an envelope, now a Blik transfer. One click and the money is already safely in your account, no need to hide it, put it away or bother with visits to the bank or an ATM.
Of course the first communion is not about gifts. Children can (fairly) consciously receive the sacrament of the Eucharist, and gifts are an additional element. Not that important, and not that expected.
Miłosz spent all his first communion money. He had a worthy cause
10-year-old Miłosz is a living example of how selfless children can be when entering the sacrament of communion. He bought absolutely nothing for himself with the funds he received: no PC, no "League of Legends" skins, no expensive shoes nor electronic gadgets. And not because like many of us, who never saw the money they got.
Miłosz decided to donate all the money he received to the animal shelter in Czartki. Together with his parents, he albo bought a hefty amount of food for dogs and cats in need. The 10-year-old's beautiful gesture was then publicised by Radio Łódź.
Thanks to Miłosz's deed, the dogs and cats at the shelter in Czartki have had their tummies filled. It’s a real miracle – no question about it - although not a Christmas one!
