You want to try a new hobby. This is a great idea for all Gen-Zers! Making homemade jams is one of the most exciting hobbies you can try.

It is a process that requires patience, attention to detail and creativity, but the result is great - delicious and aromatic jams that you can enjoy all year round. Making jam is a great way to preserve an abundance of fruit, and homemade jam also makes a great gift if you have friends – new owners of a house.

To start, you will need a few basic ingredients – fruit, sugar and lemon juice. You can use different types of fruit such as strawberries, raspberries, apricots, plums or pears. You can try anything. Fruit can vary according to your preference and the season. It is important to choose ripe and fresh fruit for the best taste.

Let's roll up our sleeves! After choosing the fruits, you need to wash them well and cut them into small pieces. Put them in a large pot and add the sugar and lemon juice. The amount of sugar depends on the sweetness of the fruit you use and your taste, of course.

Chefs, and our grandmothers, are adamant: 1 kilogram of sugar per 1 kilogram of fruit is the usual measure.

Sugar is an important ingredient. It will serve as a preservative for your jam and will add sweetness to the sweet temptation. You can use white sugar or experiment with different types of sugar, such as cane sugar or coconut sugar.

Lemon juice preserves the color and aroma of the fruit.

Simmer over low heat until the mixture thickens and bon appetit!
