The European Parliament election is just around the corner, scheduled for Sunday, 9 June. We wanted to remind you that you can earn a substantial amount of money, ranging from PLN 500 to PLN 700, by working for the electoral commission. However, time is running out, so act fast and apply as soon as possible to secure your spot. Here’s how.

The European Parliament elections are approaching, and a lot of campaigning is going on. Politicians are competing with each other to offer the best ideas for improving the European Union. On Sunday, 9 June, Polish citizens will be casting their votes to elect their representatives, who will then travel to Belgium to take their seats in the European Parliament.

As with any election, electoral commissions play a crucial role in ensuring that the voting process takes place in a peaceful and organized environment. They are also responsible for counting the votes, verifying the ballot papers and answering any questions citizens may have about the election of candidates. If you wish to be part of such a commission, you still have time, but it is running out.

How do I apply to become a member of an electoral commission?

There are two ways to become a member of an electoral commission. The first way is to get in touch with the electoral committee. According to rmf24.pl, applications for candidates for members are accepted by the electoral officers responsible for the municipality in which the given committee has its seat. You can contact them through the municipality office.

The second way is to arrange the matter yourself. In this case, you must submit your application to the electoral commissioner or electoral officer via the municipality office. Then, if the need to complete the commission arises, there is a chance that you will be called to work on Sunday, 9 June. As a reminder, you can submit your nominations until Friday 10 May.

The second method is to take the initiative and submit your application to the electoral commissioner or electoral officer via the municipality office. Then, if there is a need to stand in for somebody absent from the commission, you may be called to work on Sunday, 9 June. Please note that you have until Friday, 10 May, to submit your nominations.

How much can you earn?

Serving on an electoral commission is a responsible job that comes with compensation. Ordinary members receive PLN 500, the deputy chairman earns PLN 600, and the chairman gets PLN 700. Additionally, as a member of an electoral commission, you are entitled to two paid days off. To be eligible, you must be a Polish citizen at least 18 years old on the registration day. You also must not be deprived of public or electoral rights or be legally incapacitated.
