The harassment towards the influencer Yasmin Kirilova continues to be a problem. She receives threats to her and her child's life from a mentally unstable woman all the time.

After many interviews on that topic, the institutions intervened. The Prosecutor’s Office requested the woman harassing Yasmin to be forced to enter a hospital for treatment. According to Yasmin, this would not solve the problem.

"The day she comes out, she starts making new accounts. She writes to me that she will disembowel my child. I don't pick up her calls, I don't answer her messages. I'm used to it being a part of my life. I am currently expecting the expert’s report from the "Cybersecurity" department at the Department of Combating Organized Crime. It has been delayed for 6 months. There are 2-3 court proceedings from her mother against me. She doesn't realize that her daughter is ill," the influencer told NOVA. She added that she was not the only victim of harassment.

Bullying on social media is a serious problem that affects many Gen Zers. Therefore, it is important to know how to protect ourselves from it. Here are three helpful tips against social media bullying:

1. Do not respond to threats and negative comments. Ignoring the harassment can deprive the person causing it of the attention they seek and make them stop their actions.

2. Report the case to the competent institutions. Don't be afraid to seek help from the police or other authorities who can help you to deal with bullying.

3. Create strong passwords and protect your personal information. Be careful what you share online and with whom to protect yourself and your personal data.

With these tips and with the support of the public, we can successfully combat social media bullying and protect ourselves and others from its harmful effects.
