Actor Tom Holland has opened up about his past struggles with alcohol, revealing that he has been sober for approximately two and a half years. In a recent announcement, Holland also shared that he is now launching his brand of alcohol-free beer named BERO.

Tom Holland has chosen to live an alcohol-free lifestyle, with his journey to sobriety beginning in January 2022 when he took on the Dry January challenge, which involves giving up alcohol for a month. The actor admitted the experience was more challenging than he anticipated, revealing that he found himself constantly thinking about when he could have a drink. What started as a simple urge soon became an obsession.

Holland didn’t ignore these warning signs—quite the opposite. After six months of sobriety, he tried alcohol again and quickly realised he didn’t need it at all. Since then, apart from a brief break, the actor has remained sober for over two and a half years.

Now, Holland has decided to turn his personal journey into a business venture. On Instagram, he announced the launch of Bero Brewing, his own premium non-alcoholic beer brand, which will debut on 16 October.

"Deeply personal journey"

The actor initially teased the news before officially announcing the creation of his own ‘premium non-alcoholic beer’ brand, BERO. The name is a blend of ‘beer’ and ‘zero’, reflecting the alcohol-free nature of the product. Shortly after the reveal, an Instagram profile for the company was launched, along with several promotional images showcasing the drink. Fans have speculated that Zendaya, Holland's girlfriend and a well-known actress and singer, may have participated in the BERO promotional photoshoot.

"This journey has been deeply personal to me," Holland wrote in the announcement. "It all started with a desire to create something meaningful—a way to celebrate and connect without compromise. With BERO, we wanted to craft an alternative that brings all the sophistication and flavour of the best craft beverages while offering something a little different – something that fits into every moment."
