Polish TikToker offers free psychological help for flood victims
A major natural disaster has struck southern Poland, with widespread flooding forcing evacuations and leaving many residents homeless. Towns across the region are grappling with the devastation, as the atmosphere remains tense amid ongoing rescue efforts. Gosia Charęzinska, a TikToker based in Australia, has stepped forward to help those impacted by the disaster remotely.
The situation in southern Poland has remained tense for several days, with citizens in countries such as the Czech Republic and Hungary facing similar pressures. Many towns have already been flooded, while others are bracing for the arrival of the largest wave. Firefighters, activists, and volunteers are working tirelessly to safeguard the residents of these endangered areas.

Dramatic footage from disaster sites is circulating online, vividly showing the destructive power of the floods—streets submerged, cars and road signs swept away, houses demolished, and dams breached. Authorities urge residents to stay calm, prepare for possible evacuations, and familiarise themselves with basic first aid procedures.
The Polish public has rallied to support the flood victims. A major fundraising effort on siepomaga.pl website raised over PLN 12 million within just two days of its launch. Politicians, influencers, and celebrities have also stepped in to help. On 16 September, Sylwester Wardęga raised more than PLN 300,000 during a live stream, while YouTuber Klepsydra pledged to donate all earnings from his latest video to those affected. Gosia Charęzinska, a YouTuber and TikToker known as Gosia in Australia (Gosia w Australii), has also joined the relief efforts.
Free psychological help for flood victims
Gosia Charęzińska, known for her lifestyle content about life in Australia, has offered free psychological support to those affected by the flooding in southern Poland. In a recent video, she said:
"If you know someone in need of psychological help or support, I am offering my services free of charge. Please have them contact me via email. My availability is limited, but if someone is experiencing anxiety, has been evacuated and is struggling to adapt, or is simply finding it difficult to cope with the situation, I can arrange one or more online sessions at no cost. Please spread the word. Thank you."
It is important to recognise that psychological support is just as crucial as financial assistance. Those who have lost their homes, are unable to contact family members or are facing the uncertainty of evacuation often experience overwhelming emotions. Without proper help, they may struggle to process these traumatic events on their own.
