Rainbow rams: A farm filled with LGBT+ support
There is increasing evidence that certain animals exhibit same-sex behaviour. In response, one farmer has taken the initiative to create a safe environment specifically for queer rams. Remarkably, these homosexual animals have become a symbol of support for the LGBT+ community.
Humans are not the only species capable of same-sex attraction. Spanish scientists have also documented homosexuality in animals. Their research indicates that approximately 1,500 animal species exhibit sexual fluidity. The highest prevalence of homosexual behaviour was observed among mammals, with as many as 80% of those studied displaying same-sex attraction. The scientists note that the longer they study the animal kingdom, the more instances of homosexuality they uncover.

Homosexual ram farm
Michael StĂŒcke, a breeder from Germany, runs a unique farm called Rainbow Wool. He cares for two flocks of rams: one consisting of 240 heterosexual rams and another of 20 homosexual rams. StĂŒcke has created a safe space for the queer flock, allowing them to live freely and express their natural behaviour. He also welcomes rams from other local shepherds that show interest in the same sex.
Rainbow animals supporting LGBT+
StĂŒcke has devised an innovative way to support the LGBT+ community. He donates all proceeds from the sale of wool produced by the homosexual rams to queer causes. His initiative has gained traction, with many internet users moved by his efforts and keen to adopt the animals virtually.
Recently, Rainbow Woolâs Instagram page has launched special merchandise featuring queer animal-themed designs, including hats, patches, and even woollen shoelaces, all sold in support of LGBT+ initiatives.
