About 8 million tons of plastic end up in the oceans every year. While new and effective ways are being developed to clean seas out of plastic, some companies offer shoes made from recycled marine plastic. In this way, two things are achieved at one and the same time: reduction in the use of plastic in the manufacture of shoes and reduction in the pollution of the oceans by recycling the plastic waste in them. Or in other words - kill two birds with one stone. Gen Z are searching for creative ways to start to sort out simultaneously two or more complex problems.

On average, a person uses 156 plastic bottles each year, and in every current second, every day, about 1,500 bottles are thrown away. In 2019, 480 billion plastic bottles were purchased worldwide. And by 2050, experts warn that there will be more plastic in the oceans than fish. All these trivia are alarming, but such an unconventional solution with shoes made from recycled plastic from the oceans and seas could prove to be the key to sort out this problem.
