A new Shein game. What it's all about and why it's better not to play "Lucky Flip" [OPINION]
"Lucky Flip", the new Shein game that tiktokers and internet users are talking about, is up and running. What is it and what is it about? First of all, you should know why it is better not to play it.
Thought the hamster flip-flops and chicken helmets in the Shein shop's range were the last of company's ideas? Of course not. This time, however, it's not about absurd and hurtful accessories for live animals, but about a new competition.

According to internet users, a new "Lucky Flip" game is underway on Shein. Users are sharing their ways to raise money on the app and probably don't realise how damaging this action is.
What is Shein's "Lucky Flip" game all about?
The rules of the Shein game are not that easy at all and it is difficult to find information on what it is all about. Fortunately, tiktoker Boni Boleslawska made a video in which she explains what the Shein game is about and what we need the codes for.
In the video, she explains that in order to take part in the "Lucky Flip" you have to register and log into the Shein app. In the product browser, you have to enter a code such as the one the tiktoker gives. This is how you get to the Shein game.
Once in, we can take part in the game a maximum of four times in a round within 72 hours. Then everything resets and we start again. During the game, we collect cash, which we can then spend on the company's products. In one round, we can collect up to PLN 2,000. The game is scheduled to run from 8 June to 31 July.
"Generally, the whole point of the game is to collect diamonds. Each 500 diamonds gives you one lottery ticket. Each subsequent ticket is more valuable. We can get diamonds by doing tasks, by inviting friends, etc." explains Boni.
The Shein game - why it’s better not to play?
How much can you win in the Shein game? Thousands of zlotys. One Twitter user shared her achievement. In a "Lucky Flip", she managed to draw a total of more than two thousand zlotys. And no, this is not a joke. Another tiktoker told how she managed to collect more than one thousand zlotys. She then exchanged the winnings for shopping for 800 PLN. She paid for everything with the money raised in the game.
"Yes, I have raised a thousand and a hundred zlotys today, and it hasn't been 24 hours yet," says Patrycja in TikTok, who also explains how to collect diamonds.
Unlike the people who enthusiastically share their links to make as much money as possible for Shein, I am personally appalled by this game. I can't imagine how many clothes the company must produce to be able to afford such promotions.
After all, if every now and then someone can spend 2000 PLN on shopping, how many things can they buy? Hundreds? Thousands? After all, these products are already at ridiculously low prices anyway, which of course has to do with how they are made. Spoiler: it is neither eco-friendly nor worker-friendly, and the brand is one of the worst chain stores.
The Shein game is beyond the capacity of my mind. If it wasn't for the numerous TikToks and posts, I would have thought it was a scam. In fact, I would very much like it to be a scam. Why? Because all these products have to be made by someone. I remind you that Shein employees work 18 hours a day. Not to mention the conditions under which they operate.
Seriously, I thought Shein couldn't come up with anything worse, and yet they do. One can only hope that the game doesn't involve any additional manufacturing and is only available because the warehouses are full of previously unsold products. Although it still doesn't change the frightening number of clothes that the game users can order, which often end up in a dumpster.
