In cases where a parent uses a child's image abusively and harmfully, a judge may prohibit them from posting snapshots of the minor online.
The restrictions are expected to primarily target parents with influencer status who use cute photos to gain popularity and earn money on social networks. However, there are plenty of parents who upload pictures to their accounts just to show the rest of the family and friends how much their child has grown or how they spent their vacation.
Once a photo is online, it is difficult to delete and runs the risk of being used for illegal purposes, such as child pornography.
Another risk is related to the use of Artificial Intelligence to create deep-fake images designed to digitally manipulate materials posted on social networks.
