The question of where the young of Gen Z to develop themselves is one of the important ones, and it turns out to be a watershed since it divides them into two solid groups.

Hard-line supporters of the dream of going to study, work and develop abroad are usually people who have already lived there for a certain timeThey list a variety of arguments as to what attracts them to go abroad instead of staying here: from the fact that it is much more developed there, to the culture, the mindset of people, even the food. Reasonably, however, some of the young Gen Z who have been abroad, want to stay or come back to Bulgaria after they have not been happy with their experience there, for one reason or another.

Supporters of the idea of developing abroad point out several European countries: France, Germany, Portugal, Spain and even a Scandinavian country like Norway. Among the same group there are a more yielding type of young people, too: they think that if the political conditions in our homeland change, then they would stay. However, not everyone agrees with the opinion that abroad is an "oasis" for higher salaries underlining that even in Bulgaria high salaries can be earned, as long as you have the right skills.

This year survey, for example, showed that only 7% of young people in our country aged from 16 to 25 firmly state that they will leave forever, while over half of the respondents - as many as 55% - categorically place themselves as people who would not leave "at no circumstances'. Nearly 38% of the respondents would leave only temporarily - to study or work. For comparison, 10 years ago the share of young people in the same age group who thought of leaving Bulgaria forever was twice as high (14.5%), which shows a permanent trend of change in the attitudes of young people in Bulgaria.
